The High-Risk Officer is responsible to ensure delinquent customers in assigned portfolios are kept to a minimum and that they are dealt with promptly and effectively. This role also consists of the management of contracted collectors (bailiffs) to ensure collection or proper repossession of items.
Here is more of what you will get to do:
- Initiate and effect payment arrangements that will address the delinquency in the shortest possible time frame.
- Monitor accounts to ensure that customers comply with the arrangements made.
- Ensure that adequate records are maintained to aid in efficient running of specified portfolio.
- Ensure that work is organized in such a manner that bailiffs are adequately supplied with work to produce optimum results.
- Review the accounts being handled by bailiffs to ensure that appropriate action is being taken.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of customer’s personal information.
- Present relevant information promptly, clearly, and concisely to customers and supervisors
- Ensure compliance with arrears collection procedures and updating customers accordingly.
- Evaluate situations, measure risks and make recommendations where necessary.
- Management of Bailiff assigned
- Prepare Bailiff payroll within required scheduled time
- Other duties as assigned from time to time

- Computer Literate
Qualifications / Education:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree, Bachelors preferred
- Experience with debt collections is an asset
Schedule:
- 45 hours a week
- Monday to Saturday
In this role, you will be working with the consumer finance department which is responsible for the credit area of the business.
